Sadie Sharp, who started #iDare Magazine was a regional finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA) 2020 in the Entrepreneurial Spirit award the awards were held online on Wednesday 23rd September and Sadie was also a winner of the Pride of Swindon award for her work founding The Platform Project.
When asked how she felt about being shortlisted as a finalist in the GBEA Award, she said “I was surprised to have been shortlisted for one of these prestigious awards, and to be one of just four finalists in the region is astonishing. For me, helping young people achieve is a passion and purpose I feel I was born for, so I see it as just something that I do. To receive this recognition is amazing and reminds me just how special what we are creating really is."
On the evening of the awards, I joined 800+ other guests and finalists on the Online Event platform Hopin, to join Sadie and help celebrate her (hopeful) victory, the event its self was brilliant, there was a real structure to it, with Speed Networking and some guest speakers including the Chancellor Rishi Sunak.
Although Sadie didn't win a GBEA award this year, she did win a Pride of Swindon award for her work, so we're very proud of her.
