Swindon based successful business man James Phipps retired at the age of 39, and now works with charities. He came in to let us interview him and tell his story to you and rest of the world.
He says he has grown up in Swindon, but he wasn’t very wealthy, so at the age of 13 he decided to get a small gardening job to help his family and afford some new trainers.
This then became his first proper business, which he then expanded - paying his friends to help him out, which is when he found his love for helping others - which he continues today.
He told us a lot about his experiences, but the thing that really stood out for me was his mantra:
‘Anyone can be successful’, ‘Be brave’, ‘Give it a go’
