The Charity that needs support are the RSPCA. The society was founded in 1824, it is constituted under the Royal Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act. That are doing a Christmas rescue as looking at recent statistics during the 2019 Christmas period more than 2,500 animals were taken into care of the RSPCA, as Christmas is a huge common time for animals to seek help.
To add to this the RSPCA during 2020 have rehomed 612 dogs, 1,812 cats, 336 rabbits and 217 horses through their national centres. Which means that would have been a happy Christmas for over 3,000 animals. The figures now though show though the periods of the lockdowns 3.2 million pets were brought by households. Does that mean more pets might be looking for a rescue?
The RSPCA foundation is aiming to end all animal cruelty by investigation and prosecution, once the animals are in there care they work to fully rehabilitate the animals. They do this through releasing them back in to the wild, or if they were rescued from there they are put into loving new homes. Their mission is to care and rescue animals in need, by advocating on behalf of all the animals and inspiring everyone to treat animals with love and respect.
The RSPCA have their strategy they just need our help to support them.
All funds raised will be going directly to helping keep animal rescue teams out on Christmas and provide more help with rescuing. £40 covers the cost to microchip 5 cats and dogs which would be a huge help as if they need to go find them it would be easier and quicker for them to get to the animal in need.
