Getting IT Resources

Whilst we have all been couped up during the COVID-19 lockdown period we have been workig hard to try and continue to create content for the magazine. However, for some of us, it has been really hard because we don't have access to the IT resources we need. But did you know that there are often funds out there that can help with things like IT equipment?
Jacob needed a good Apple laptop to be able to continue with his video editing work as well as writing for the magazine, but his old one had broken, which was holding him back at College as well. So we applied to the Wiltshire Community Foundation for him to get a new one, and their Vocational Support fund kindly covered the cost of a new Macbook Air.
Danielle didn't have a laptop at home and had been trying to do articles for the magazine and her college work on her phone and tablet, so we applied to the Wiltshire Community Foundation Vocational fund and they kindly funded Danielle for a new Lenovo laptop, a printer, mouse, insurance, AND a new laptop bag (in her favourite colour, which is purple by the way!).
And Ellie needed a full laptop so that she could do more professional level video editing, so we asked around and Ntegra, a very kind local IT company, lent us one of their unused laptops for Ellie to use during the lockdown period.

The #iDARE youth publication is a a fully funded project open to any young people aged 13-20 (or up to 24 if disabled) based around Swindon.
