The showcase that we had was the first that The Platform Project has ever showcased and it was to show off what the interns here had done over their time so far. Hopefully, the interns can reach out to some clients or businesses that could help them with their chosen path.
Other than myself there were other interns that set up stalls:
Jamie Shaw Graphic Design: the work he did for IPSUM and some graphic designed T-shirts with his website on show as well, also his work with resin moulds.
Moreover, that evening the Platform Project hosted an awards ceremony to give certificates to interns that have finished in the past and to see where they have gone on to do since they left the Platform Project.
It was really wonderful a lot of fun and enjoyment we had the Olive Tree gift us cakes and snacks for the evening. This showcase was the chance to do some networking of our names and services we could all offer.
If you are interested in any of these services or becoming an intern then get in contact with The Platform Project through our website.
The #iDARE youth publication is a a fully funded project open to any young people aged 13-20 (or up to 24 if disabled) based around Swindon.
If you would like to become a participant, volunteer your time to help run it,
or suggest something we should feature in one of our editions, please get in touch!
