WHAT IS MEDITATION?
Meditation is a practice that involves stillness, breathing and learning to be in the present moment.
WHY MEDITATE?
Meditation is like multivitamins for the
brain. It improves learning and self-awareness and an overall sense of
happiness.
HOW TO MEDITATE:
Sit cross-legged in a quiet area, close your
eyes gently and focus on your breathing. Let
it be natural and feel it in whatever way
you want , chest , throat or mouth.
WHEN TO MEDITATE:
There are different times of day you can
meditate. You could try it in the morning as
it can prepare you for a day. If you don't
want to meditate in the morning, you can do
it at midday as it can help you during work
in the middle of the day.
The #iDARE youth publication is a a fully funded project open to any young people aged 13-20 (or up to 24 if disabled) based around Swindon.
